This Family Run Caravan and Camping site is situated in the Best possible location, offering easy access for Backpackers, and all types of vehicles, Trailer Tents, Motorhomes and Caravans.


Opposite Crossroads Garage on the fork of Wembury Road and Staddiscombe is a the Oaks rugby Club who serve good food in an upmarket setting with ample parking facilities.
Pilgrims Rest is situated close to all amenities including the Odd Wheel Pub

where good food is served along with real ales and cider, with outside seating for those rain free days!


Close by is the local shop and Post Office, along with a Park with Skateboard Ramps ,Tennis Court and Play Zone for the younger children.


With in walking distance is the Wembury Bay beach which has just been made much more user friendly by the National Trust, with easy accessible steps onto the beach.


Well known locally, and further afield, as a place
for surfers, if you are lucky you may see some surfing competitions.

This year the beach is quite sandy and great for families, to enjoy swimming, rock pooling and sunbathing


There are 2 Churches in the village, St Werburghs Church of England/ Anglican and a lively Free Pentecostal Church.

The Old Mill Cafe is situated just beside the beach with a range of fare to satisfy even the most discerning of folk.


Stunning Walks


For those who prefer walking the scenery is quite spectacular and during the summer months, The coastal path takes you past Rocket Cottage and on down to the River Yealm where it is possible to catch the ferryman’s eye who will take you over to Newton Ferrers a Haven for Millionaires and for great food at the Ship Inn In Noss Mayo.



Taking a walk in the other direction will bring you to the 13th century St Werburghs Church, down to Wembury beach, and on to Heybrook Bay passing Mountbatten.
